July 13, 2016 – Marinvent Corporation President John Maris announced today at the Farnborough International Airshow the launch of Canada’s first independent research, development, flight test, and certification center, CertCenterCanada (www.certcentercanada.com).

CertCenterCanada addresses the challenges faced by aerospace companies as they try to reduce the substantial costs,
schedule, and risks associated with flight testing and certification. The centre will provide a single-source resource of expert services, facilities, test assets, and access to Transport Canada delegates (DARs) covering a broad spectrum of disciplines.

On July 28th, 2016 AerospaceU.com, a joint venture of Marinvent Corporation and KnowledgeOne, launches its first online course dedicated to software certification in the aerospace industry.

The course, DO-178, is an introductory program that encompasses several topics including the reasons certifiable design is important and where certifiable design fits into the broader certification process. Click here for the full press release:DO178 course_press release.

Marinvent’s JV Partner Advanced Aerospace Solutions Receives 2016 NASA Honor Award – Group Achievement Award

The TASAR FT2 Team, which includes Advanced Aerospace Solutions, is being awarded the 2016 NASA Honor Award – specifically a Group Achievement Award, for the successful conduct of the June 2015 TASAR flight trial.

Marinvent Corporation Announces Valuable Addition To Its Transport Canada DAR Staff

Marinvent is pleased to announce that Danielle Methot has joined its expanding team of Transport Canada Design Approval Representatives, augmenting Marinvent’s capability to support clients seeking civil and military certification for aircraft, avionics and aircraft systems. “Danielle brings with her a wealth of software, hardware and systems expertise, together with a very broad background working for and with many of Canada’s foremost civil and military aerospace companies,” said Phil Cole, VP-Business Development at Marinvent. ”Of particular significance to our customers is the fact that Danielle is an experienced and well-respected Software DAR. We have been seeing a significant increase in demand from our clients to outsource certification projects to us, both on civil and military programs, so Danielle is joining our expanding team of DARs to help us better service these clients at a critical time.”
